Armin Wolski has more than 25 years of experience in the field of building fire safety, building codes and their application to the built environment. His experience across many types of buildings and facilities including but not limited to high-rise, residential, medical, and transit. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from U.C. Berkeley and a Master’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He has published and presented internationally on the subject of fire safety, including perceptions of risk and acceptable risk in fire safety codes and standards. He is a recognized Fulbright Specialist, a three-time appointee to the International Code Council Means of Egress Committee, on the City of San Francisco Board of Examiners and has been on the State of California Technical Sub- Committee on Building Fire Safety for 5 code cycles. He is on two SFPE committees responsible for developing engineering guides on Very Tall Buildings and Fire Risk Assessment. Armin has a key interest in the area of improving building fire safety regulations worldwide.
